Friend and future contributor to illostribute–Javier Olivares–recently illustrated Sir Arthur
Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes adventure The Hound of the Baskervilles for Nordica Libros.
Mr. Olivares is one of my favorite contemporary illustrators, his style being a strong personal influence for me and I’ve always loved all of the Sherlock Holmes stories, so this pairing, in
my opinion, is perfect. Here are seven images from the book, beginning with the cover.
Visit Nordica Libros or see more of Javier’s awesome preliminary work for his illustrations right
here. Congratulations on your superb new work Mr. Olivares!
Five images from French illustrator Félix Jobbé-Duval, gleaned from Illustration Is Art–
another great reference site I recently stumbled across.
Spend some time browsing over at Illustration Is Art, or read a little bit of bio on Félix Jobbé
Duval over at lambiek.net. Enjoy!
